An Extremely Bz Day For Me

Its on 7+am & I already knw d kind of work load tht's waiting for me in the office. I have 3 staff dwn today. 1 on leave for holiday, 1 on leave for christmas preps n 1 on 19 days hospitalization leave (poor lizy, she fell dwn yesterday, Alhamdulillah she n baby r fine).

I only have 1 staff for today (well, i actually have 2 more present but thy're handling a diff product). So today means tht i have to help out th 1 staff today. I dunno how i'm gonna cope...i gotta help her, i gotta do my own load, handle a few pending complaints from last week & i thk i have a training or meeting today!...i really hope no major complaints come in today cos those will definirtely take more time to handle. Tht 1 staff was nice enuf to volunteer to cm in 1hr earlier today...so sweet of her. I in turn promise her tht i would help her, i'd stay late if i had to.

K lah, I'm off to work. Already feeling a migraine coming...Sigh~

Can Chicken Pox Happen Twice?

I'm on MC today. It started with nausea, headache, a bit of spots on my body n slight fever yesterday evening. Even in the MRT, on my way bck from work, I felt a bit different. I quickly popped 2 tablets of panadol n slept early. Ths morning whn I woke up i had : slight fever, running nose (only on the right nose hole, d other side kinda blocked) bodyache, a painful throat (even my ears hurt whn i try to swallow) and more spots (sm are itchy!!) on my body. And the spots are itchier n seem to have multiplied!!

I went to dr, even took a nap at the waiting area cos there were so many other patients before me - at least or 9. Whn i showed dr the spots, he said it may or may not be chicken pox. Could be allergy also. He gave me some meds n cream. Wanted to take only AM MC cos I have loads of work to do but he gave me 1 day instead cos i gotta monitor cos it may really been chicken pox. Suddenly i thought to myself, alamak ther's 3 pregnant ladies in my office, I better not be near them. So full day MC is the best option for me.

But seriously, can chicken pox happen twice (any medical personnel out thr who can answer this)? I've had chicken pox 9yrs ago but i remember a lot of ppl saying tht my chicken pox is not full blown so i may get it again. Mine dried up much earlier thn other ppl. On the other hand, I've read some website tht once u get chicken pox, u're in a way immuned against it for life.

I really hope its not chicken pox cos I already have plans lined up for Fareez's bday & our 11yrs "anniversary" nxt week. And I am so afraid of the scars chicken pox may leave. Of cos I'm scared, the wedding is in a few mths time!!! Boohoo....But of cos if its really chicken pox, i have to bersyukur tht its happening now instead of a date much nearer to the wedding.

Well in the meantime, i still dunno wht it is...gotta monitor till tomorrow morning. A few more spots have apeeared n still itching but i can still tahan. If it gets worst, I need to see dr again. Wish me luck!

The Start of 7.5days Away Frm Work...

Today marks the start of my seven & a half days away from work, physically n hopefully mentally*
I'm OFF TO MALDIVES for holiday!!!! Yipeeeeeeee!!!!!...Ya rite? I wish!
I've got my exam next week. Over the next 7 days, this book should be my companion :


Did u notice tht I used the word "should". Yes, cos thts wht I shd really do. With a book tht has 7 parts, 15 chapters & 688 pages, i shd be just studyg over the next 7 days. At least 2-3 chapters a day on the average to be able to make it for my exam on 8 Nov. And since I can expect to jalan raya and have guests coming ths weekend, I have to put in extra for the weekdays. Kinda worried but hopefully I can make it, Insya-Allah. I just cant study way in advance, I'll forget! Since morning, I've been printing out the neccesary lecture notes from the school website and sorting out my study material. I knw, I knw, thts smthg I shd have done earlier. Anyway, I plan start after my Asar prayers and cover at least till Chapter 2 by tonite n then probably another 3 chapters tomorrow. I have such a short attention span n I can get distracted by soooo many thgs...Please, please Huda, please be more disciplined ths time!

Ramadhan Has Passed, Syawal Has Come, Wht's Next?

This year's Ramadhan went by exceptionally fast compared to the previous year. Hmm, we've gone thru Ramadhan, we've started our Hari Raya celebrations so whts next? Every year I have problems fulfilling this promise to myself. I always promise myself tht I will quickly "payback" my puasa & not wait until a mth before the next Ramadhan. Last year, I had 6 days to pay bck - 3 days I payed bck a few days after Hari Raya but the remaining 3 was only in September ths year. Panic sey, almost didnt make it. Every year is like that, its time to make a change! I'm not getting any younger man~

I guess I knw wht I shd do for ths year. I promise to honor my promise to myself. My promise is : I will not wait too long to pay bck my fasting "hutangs". Hmm, but how long is too long? 6mths? I gotta set a target for myself. Let see....Oklah, I promise to pay bck my "hutangs" by 30 Nov 06, Insya-Allah. No excuses except for sickness or reasons tht are beyond my control. Alhamdulillah I managed to pay bck 2 days Thu (ths day Fafa also puasa so was nice lah having sm1 close to me fastg with me, even though diff office..hehe) n Fri so I gotta continue with ths & keep tht momentem going. Thur, Izah bought me hotdog bun for me to break fast n for Friday, Eliza gave me 1 pkt of cream bun. Thank u hor ladies, moga2 berkat lah rezeki korang eh memberi makan kepada yg kelaparan!

Whn I see my colleagues going out for lunch, I start imagining food at ayer rajah, holland V, secret recipe holland grove, kfc/sarpino/pizza hut delivery...so tempting! Been fightg the temptatn for 2 days but dunno how long ths can last...hehe...hopefully until I clear my hutangs lah eh...

P.S - Anyone wanna do ths also (I knw a few of u r planning the same thg but just like me it never happens lah?) Boleh kita motivate each other. : )

2nd Last Day of Ramadhan

Today is the 2nd last day of Ramadhan. Many ppl feel happy but I'm startg to feel a bit sad.
Tomorrow will be the last day of sahur with my family. Come next Ramadhan, Insya-Allah both me &
my bro will be in our own home. Talking abt home, need to start finding one after Raya...prob in Nov lah.

Anyway, I tried making kuih today. I dun hv oven but I die2 wanted to try to make ths "sarang semut" kuih cos i got it thru one of my multiply contacts (Frina) . Decided to do it thru my microwave. Sometimes with microwave, kuih tak jadi becos temp is diff from normal oven. First try was bad...hangus..hehe..

first try, using the "bake cookies" function in the microwave, turned out too dark!! my fault also lah cos i totally depended on the function & i was doing smthg else..by the time, i checked the oven, it was too late..hehe :

I also tried making chocolate cornflakes (recipe from suria channel website). Forgot to take pics of the "process". I only hv the final piece. The taste was ok lah, dun quite like it cos a bit too sweet :

The choc chip cookies was ok but the M & M cookies, hmm, i'm kinda not satisfied with how it turned out. One fine day I'll try again, I thk it was too hard lah (i thk it was my rolling technique maybe tht was wrong or maybe i used the wrong type of M&M..hehe. Insya-Allah next year I'll try all these & hoepfully more kuihs with a real oven instead of a microwave. Too late to try any other kuihs lah. Anyway, my future sis in law gave u some kuihs (thanks Erin!) & my future mum in law gave us some cake. And oh, I kind of forgot tht I already ordered a few kuihs..hehe..so my mum will scream if i sibuk2 make some more..hehe..

Problem With Counter

I seriously feel tht thr's smthg wrong with my counter. Suddenly i have 171 333 hits on my blog...a bit unbelievable rite? I tried re-doing another one at Foo Counter but I had probs so i decided to change to BlogPatrol. I've reset it to ZERO..

Anyways, boring day, waiting for Fafa to call me to go n buy sm stuff later. I'm currently tryg to see if I can add any new n intrestg thgs to ths blog....I'm kinda bad at html so havent had much luck..haha..so i'll stick to the same layout...

in aug i found out i had ovarian cysts & n need surgery cos its already 4+cm
thn in sep i found out it has shrinked to 1+cm
Alhamdulillah i dun need surgery anymore

Singapore Idol
Hady won but I actually feel tht i'm ok with either Hady or Jon winning, both have a different style of their own, unique kinda voice so thy'll both probably make good albums
i'm so proud of myself cos i resisted the urge to vote during the finals...cos i remember how fanatik i was during the first SI. I voted for Taufik a lot!!! I spend $100+ or $200... seow rite? and whn the bill came, it came in A4 cos there were so many pages of the bill, too thick, it coudnt be folded..hehe
ths year i voted most when it was dwn to final 3, i voted both jon n hady cos i really2 didnt want jasmine to be in top 2..hehe...
oh btw, after sahur, i had ths bizarre dream tht the next idol finalists (whc apparently is not happening) were 2 malay girls...and i thk i was in the stadium..hehe..

Fasting
how has puasa been so far...Alhamdulillah, first of all I'm happy I managed to pay bck last year's puasa "hutangs" before the start of ths Ramadhan. And I'm happy ths Ramadhan I feel "stronger"....wht i mean is not mcm past few yrs whr i'm easily hungry..hehe...And oh, I dunno why but my whole family seems to be unable to eat much during sahur. Last time we could eat rice with some lauk but nowadays its just bread...smtimes i just dip bread into milo, 1 kurma, lots of plain water, my supplements and tht's it. For iftar, I dun eat much now, no, not dieting cos I'm getting married soon but becos, just becos my tummy can't accept a lot of food after being empty for the whole day...
i've not had iftar outside for the past few days...kinda prefer to buka at home with the family
save $ and also its Insya-Allah my last buka with them as a "single" girl
cum next Ramadhan, I'll probably be in my own home with my hubby, Insya-Allah...kinda sad sikit thikg abt it but hey, who says I cant go bck once in while rite?
me & fareez may buka luar with a few frens outside but tht'd be like next week or the next
if possible, i dun wanna buka luar more than 5 times (including those days tht i finish work late)...actually there was once i finished late...wht i did was just got a bite of kurma n then quickly rushed bck to eat whatever food tht was at home

Love Life/ Wedding Prep
As with all rships, a lot of ups n downs but Alhamdulillah, eveythg bad tht happened has made us both stronger - as individuals n also as a couple. 6mth+ left only. After Hari Raya, its gonna be a made rush, gotta choose baju again, gotta start getting quotation for wedding door gifts, sign up for marriage prep course, meet caterer, got to ROM to register, plan for honeymoon, put aside more $ to pay for wedding stuff, reconfirm many thgs abt the wedding - location, arrangmts, calls to make to the diff2 providers etc Phew~

eh, gonna buka soon, countdwn : 1hr+ away jer...
i'm suddenly craving for brownies, i guess i'm going to bake some now (if all ingredients ade lah..hehe)
